Your responsibilities

  • Literaturrecherche zu Risikomaßen zur Steuerung von Suchstrategien.
  • Kritische Analyse der gefundenen Metriken und Bewertung der Eignung.
  • Entwicklung (und Training) von maritimen Bewegungsmodellen unter Berücksichtigung der gewählten Risikomaße.
  • Erweiterung von maritimer Simulation Berechnung der Risikomaße und um angepasste Bewegungsmodelle.
  • Integration in bestehende Python-Simulation der Arbeitsgruppe.
  • Zusammenfassung und Dokumentation der Ergebnisse zur Ableitung konkreter Handlungsempfehlungen.

Your profile

  • Laufendes Studium in einem MINT Fachgebiet, wie Mathematik, Physik, Data Science oder Informatik; idealerweise mit Vertiefung in Stochastik, beispielsweise durch Risikotheorie oder Finanzmathematik/ Versicherungsmathematik.
  • Erste Erfahrungen mit systematischen Literaturrecherchen und Kenntnis gängiger Datenbanken und wissenschaftlicher Suchstrategien sind von Vorteil.
  • Programmierkenntnisse in Python sind erforderlich.
  • Erste Erfahrungen im Bereich Simulation und Reinforcement Learning sind von Vorteil.
  • Erfahrungen mit Sonar oder Akustik / Schallausbreitung sind von Vorteil.
  • Sehr gute analytische Fähigkeiten und die Fähigkeit, komplexe wissenschaftliche Texte zu erfassen und zu strukturieren.
  • Selbständige und systematische Arbeitsweise.
  • Sehr gute Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.
